WHERE BUTTERFLIES GROW
Posted: 14 years ago - Aug 25, 2012I can truly say that this is indeed a place "where butterflies grow".

I woke up at 5am crying this morning, no, not from anything bad, but from incredible joy.
I have had such a wonderful journey
the last 5 years. I have a wonderful family, my sister , my mom, and my brother.
I have many close friends who have been with me through each phase of this journey and they have seen me blossom and fulfill my dream, a dream 54 years in the making. i have also made many new friends along the way.
My coworkers have been wonderful, and I have gotten closer to many of them during the last 5 years.
The staff at the hospital here and at the after care facility are AMAZING. Dr. Brassard is a wonderful surgeon, and he is a HUNK too.
I want to take him back to Columbus with me, but his wife and my boyfriend might complain, so I guess I better not.
I can not possibly say enough good things about the people here at the hospital and the recovery center. I don't know all of you by name, but regardless, you are all angels and are the kindest people I have ever met. Thank you.
People comment about my journey on my website blog, my facebook page, and my yahoo group. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would get this kind of support.
I never knew how many other people there were like me in the world, now it seems like they are coming out of the woodwork.
I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly blessed.
With each step we take, the journey gets easier. If you look at the whole journey, it can at times seem overwhelming, but if you take it one step at a time, pretty soon you will be amazed at how far you have come.
Today I get the stent out and I am taking a picture of that puppy. I also start dilation too.
We have had several post op girls stop by this week to say Hi. One had her surgery a year ago, another 3 years ago now.
We now have six girls recovering at the residence (myself included).
My roommate heard me crying this morning, and she asked if I was okay. I said yes, I am good, these are tears of joy.

I lived 49 years trying to be good to everyone but the one person that truly matters - myself. It was time that I support HER, even if no-one else does. After all, I'm the ONLY one I know for a fact will be with me until my final day
All my Love,
Bobbie Jo
